The Academic Master's Program in Physical Therapy, offered through a partnership between the Physical Therapy programs at UFTM and UFU, aims primarily to meet the growing demand for the development of research projects, as well as to train highly qualified faculty and researchers in the field of Physical Therapy. The program focuses on research lines related to functional assessment, along with the planning of health promotion, disease prevention, and physiotherapeutic intervention strategies within the musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and neurological systems.

Among its goals, the program seeks to foster and strengthen research across various areas of Physical Therapy, to train and qualify professionals for teaching and research activities, to promote the production of knowledge that is applicable to society, and to encourage the development of assessment tools and therapeutic interventions in the context of Physical Therapy.

Profile of Incoming Students:

Graduates in Physical Therapy, as well as graduates from other health-related fields or areas aligned with the program's research lines.

Minimum Time to Completion: 12 months

Regular Time to Completion: 24 months

CAPES Evaluation Level: 2016 – Rating 3
